Create a perfect microclimate for your plants and protect them from frosty weather with this Lean To Cold Frame from Christow. The frame is made from sustainably sourced wood with UV-stabilised windows, three slatted shelves, and hinged lids and doors for easy access.

UV Stabilised Polycarbonate

The cold frame has polycarbonate windows which are UV-stabilised to prevent them discolouring and warping in the sunlight. They also protect your crops from harmful UV rays.

Provides Optimum Sunlight

Every side of the frame has a window to provide your crops with sunlight regardless of the direction it’s facing. The windows diffuse light better than glass to provide optimum sunlight.

Double Hinged Lids

The frame has a pair of hinged lids which you can open to increase the level of ventilation. Steel sliding lifts allow you to open the lid as wide as you want without the need to prop it open.

3 Slatted Shelves

Slatted shelves and a slatted base allow to easily organise your plants whilst providing plenty of air flow and drainage. The shelves are also removable to accommodate taller plants.

Lockable Double Door

The cold frame also has two front doors to easily tend to your plants and increase ventilation. Both doors are designed with pivot locks to stop them swinging open during windy weather.

Apex Roof With Holes

Because the roof is slanted on either side, it allows the rain and snow to easily drain away. The frame of the roof also has drainage holes to prevent rain and snow building up at the bottom.

Easy to Assemble

The cold frame is delivered flat-packed and comes with instructions for simple self-assembly. All the fixtures and fittings are galvanised, making them resistant to rust and corrosion.

Natural Wood Cold Frame

The timber is washed in ACQ to protect it from decay, rot, and insects. ACQ is a water-based wood preservative and is safe to use in your garden if you’re growing herbs and vegetables.

Keep your plants growing long after the summer’s over with our Large Lean To Cold Frame. The frame is made from sustainably sourced wood with UV-stabilised windows, slatted shelves, and lids and doors for easy access. It also has an apex roof to give you extra growing space.

UV Stabilised Polycarbonate

We’ve designed the cold frame with tough polycarbonate windows which are UV-stabilised for up to three years. Because they’re UV-stabilised, they won’t warp or bow when exposed to the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays. They’re also well protected from discolouration and fading.

Delivers Optimum Sunlight

Every panel on the frame is fitted with a polycarbonate window, including the sides, back, and lid. This allows plants to absorb sunlight regardless of the direction the frame is facing. Polycarbonate also diffuses light better than glass, so every plant receives the optimum level of sunlight.

Double Hinged Lids

The roof of the cold frame has a pair of double hinged lids which you can open up to increase the level of ventilation and protect your plants from overheating on hot, sunny days. Robust steel sliding lifts allow you to open the lids as wide as you want to without the need to prop them open.

Good size. Door latch too small and didnt work, so have I have replaced it and added one to the bottom

Smaller than I thought, shelves don't come out, which means can only use for smaller plants, not Tomatoes that grow tall.
