How to Create a Cosy Christmas Ambience
How to Create a Cosy Christmas Ambience
With the festive season in full swing and the winter weather setting in, you’ll probably be spending a lot more time wrapped up at home and entertaining friends and family. But while there’s nothing like a fire to beat the winter chill, the right choice of décor can also give your home a warm, inviting feel. Here, we’ll give you the lowdown on how to create a cosy Christmas ambience. And the good news is that we’ve got everything you need to do it!
Make the Most of Your Tree
If you don’t own a Christmas tree already, get one! Not only is a tree the heart of your home at Christmas, but it’s guaranteed to brighten up the bleakest of winter days. What’s more, its evergreen foliage provides a beautiful backdrop to a set of string lights. While multi-colour lights look fun and colourful, warm white lights are the best choice for a cosy setting. Conversely, you can use one of our enchanting pre-lit twig trees as a festive centrepiece. Because they’re already illuminated by LEDs, you won’t need to buy any string lights.
Add Warmth to Windows
Looking out a window on a drab winter night is enough to send a cold shiver creeping down your spine. Thankfully, you can easily add warmth to windows with our Christmas curtain lights. For a cosy ambience, we recommend our star curtain lights which are beautifully illuminated by warm white micro LEDs. Not only are the micro LEDs smaller and more discreet than normal LEDs, but they emit a brighter glow to create a more dazzling display.
Brighten Tables & Mantels
It's the little touches that can transform a room from festive drear to festive cheer. For example, our champagne gold reindeer ornaments look fabulous decorating a coffee table, mantelpiece, and other little areas around your home. Each reindeer is coloured champagne gold for a gorgeous, glitzy look. Also, they’re illuminated by warm white micro LEDs to add a snug, toasty feel to your home at Christmas.
Utilise Your Wall Space
Blank walls can make a room feel cold and bleak – especially during the winter! If you have a wall that’s crying out for love, our light up stag head would make a stunning centrepiece. Similarly to our other indoor lights, it has a wire frame which is illuminated by warm white micro LEDs. What's more, it's powered by a weatherproof battery box with a timer function. So, if you don’t want to hang it indoors, you can use it to brighten an outdoor wall.
Get Some Cosy Candle Lights
If you're creating a cosy ambience, nothing beats the warming glow of some well-placed candle lights. In addition to flameless LED candles, we have a fantastic range of festive-themed candle bridge lights. While our classic candle bridge is perfect for a traditional display, our favourite has to be this grey candle arch which is illuminated by seven LED candles and decorated with a charming scene of Santa on his sleigh.
Because our candle lights are illuminated by LEDs rather than real flames, they don’t pose a fire risk. As a result, they’re a safe alternative if you have kids or pets.
Don't Forget the Front Door
First impressions are important, so you should think about making the front of your home look warm and welcoming, too. After all, it’s the first thing your guests will see when they rock up to your door at Christmas. Although we have a range of silhouette lights to brighten up your lawn, a wreath adorned with warm white lighting is our favourite way to create an inviting door display. Need help choosing a wreath?
